Adeboye disowns AI-generated videos on drugs, scholarships
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has disassociated himself from a series of AI-generated videos falsely linking him to drug endorsements and scholarship offers.
These misleading videos, which have been circulating on social media, have misled many by falsely associating the revered cleric with deceptive claims.
In a statement shared on his Facebook page on Wednesday, March 26, Adeboye firmly stated that he has no connection to these promotions and urged his followers to be cautious of fraudulent schemes aimed at exploiting their trust.
His statement reads:
“I have been made aware of disturbing AI-generated videos circulating online, falsely promoting certain drugs and scholarships in an attempt to deceive people.
“These videos are NOT from me, and I want to categorically state that I have no involvement in such promotions. I urge my dear brothers and sisters in Christ to remain vigilant and avoid falling for these fraudulent schemes.
“These deceitful acts are designed to manipulate trust for selfish gains. Please do not engage with or share these posts. Instead, report these fake accounts and videos immediately on all social media platforms. Together, we can prevent the spread of such misinformation.
“The malicious activities linked to ‘Africa Health Centre’ and ‘Church-Funded Scholarships’ are already being addressed by the appropriate authorities, as we will not allow God’s name to be misused for such wrongdoing.
“Let us stand firm in the truth, walk in love, and stay focused on the genuine work of God’s Kingdom.”
