EeZeeTee Responds to Mercy Chinwo’s Allegations, Calls for Transparency
Ezekiel Onyedikachi, popularly known as EeZeeTee and CEO of EeZee Conceptz, has refuted claims made by gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, describing them as deliberate attempts to damage his reputation and record label through falsehoods and emotional manipulation.
In a video shared across multiple media platforms on Tuesday, Mercy Chinwo alleged that EeZeeTee had threatened her career and subjected her to servitude during her time with his label.
Responding to these accusations, EeZeeTee expressed disappointment, stating that it was disheartening for a fellow gospel artist to resort to falsehoods in an attempt to discredit another.
“It’s heartbreaking to see such efforts being made to tarnish someone’s reputation. You had promised to destroy my credibility and that of my organization—well done. I hope when you achieve that, you get a crown in heaven,” he remarked.
Addressing Chinwo’s claim that the label restricted her from attending events, EeZeeTee countered, “How would we sabotage our own investment? We share in the blessings of every opportunity our artists get, so it would be foolish to block such engagements.”
He further urged for truthfulness, adding, “Are we going to carry strife, bitterness, and resentment while claiming to do ministry? Does advocating for peace mean I am weak? If someone threatens to ‘deal with me,’ they are not fighting me but the God who called me.”
The Core Dispute
EeZeeTee clarified that the real issue between him and Mercy Chinwo revolved around reconciling financial accounts. He stated that he had made several attempts to resolve the matter, even through respected religious leaders, but his efforts were misconstrued as fear or guilt.
“For over two years, this dispute has persisted behind the scenes. I never felt the need to publicly discredit my artists. It’s senseless to destroy what you’ve built,” he said. “However, when my life became threatened and intimidation increased, I sought resolution through spiritual leaders, including Apostle Eugene Ogwu, Bishop Humphrey Erumaka, and Bishop Mike Okonkwo.”
Despite these efforts, EeZeeTee noted that his pursuit of peace was misinterpreted as weakness. “A pastor even told me, ‘Stop worrying about the body of Christ. We will deal with you, and the body of Christ will be fine.’ At that moment, I realized this was a targeted campaign against me.”
Court Case and Financial Audit
On allegations that he was the first to take legal action, EeZeeTee provided documents to counter this claim. “In March, all my accounts were suddenly frozen. Confidential information later revealed that a group of individuals orchestrated this, trying to make it appear as though law enforcement was independently investigating me.”
He further addressed accusations of refusing a financial audit, stating, “I have never opposed an audit. All I asked for was an independent, unbiased professional who understands the music industry’s financial ecosystem. If we’re conducting an audit, both parties should be transparent—let’s check both our books.”
Bullying Allegations & Paternity Claims
Responding to Mercy Chinwo’s claims of bullying, EeZeeTee dismissed the notion, stating, “Anyone who knows her personally knows she cannot be bullied. This is an attempt at character assassination.”
Regarding allegations that he was behind paternity rumors about Chinwo’s child, he said, “It’s baffling that such a sensitive issue would be falsely attributed to me. I hope there is enough evidence to support such a claim because it is deeply disappointing.”
Concluding his response, EeZeeTee reiterated his call for honesty and resolution. “Talent is important, but integrity matters more. Let’s be truthful and accountable. If we truly serve God, our actions should reflect that.”
