Harvesters Lead Pastor Breaks Silence Over Alleged N1.5bn Fraud

Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), has addressed allegations linking him to real estate fraud and money laundering.

Reports circulated on Tuesday claiming the cleric was in police custody over a fraud case involving ₦1.5 billion.

During his Next Level online prayer session on Wednesday, Pastor Idowu denied the accusations, maintaining his innocence and clarifying that he has no involvement in real estate transactions.

He stated that he does not own or trade in properties, apart from a single property inherited from his late parents. He also dismissed claims of receiving large sums, particularly billions of naira, into his accounts, emphasizing that his accounts are transparent and open to scrutiny.

In his remarks, Pastor Idowu said, “Over the last 24 hours, there has been a lot of news about me on social media. I want to set the record straight.

“Firstly, I heard allegations that I am involved in real estate. I am not. Anyone with evidence to the contrary can present it.

“I do not own any property in Nigeria, except one inherited from my late parents. I have not bought or sold any property in Nigeria.

“Secondly, someone claimed I received billions into my account. My accounts are public, and anyone can verify if I have ever received such sums.

“While there is a lot being said in the press, this is not the platform to address those issues. I want to thank everyone who has shown love and support during this time.”

Pastor Idowu expressed gratitude to his congregation and supporters for standing by him amidst the allegations.
