Youths all over the world are recognized for their vigor,
exuberance, innovation, creativity, strength, vibrance, passion
and influence. It is a phase in life that doesn’t come twice,
hence a number of people go overboard all for the sake of this
realization and they waste precious time on frivolities,
fantasies, toxic relationships, and friendships that mar their
In this part of the world, it takes a whole lot of discipline and
focus not to be lured into the youthful exuberance that seems
to be a trending thing, and a higher level of focus, not to fall
into depression by the show offs and acts of many youths we
daily see on the media. It is a real war between the flesh and
the spirit man because the youthful phase is the natural phase
of exuberance in every area and if the flesh or body is not
placed under subjection, it would lead one to a state of
eventual doom. ''Psalm 90:12 Teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.''
No doubts, there are way too many distractions that came with
the jet age we now live in. Social extremes, a high increase in
knowledge, alcoholism, drug abuse, lack of self control and sex;
which is already like a norm between two young adults with no
legal marital binding. A friend once said, sex in this age has
become as accessible as a mere handshake.
It is considered the new cool for many youths and the thirst for
wealth, fame and power has gradually become the adrenaline
that boosts their morale for significance. Nothing more!
Little wonder, many fall into the state of depression and
consider suicide as an option in spite of all the fame, wealth
and power they’ve acquired. The reason is clear! When the
purpose of a thing isn't known, abuse is inevitable.
There is nothing as fun and fulfilling as finding purpose during
this youthful phase. It could be the beginning of the best days
of your life if smartly and carefully journeyed.
There are thousands of youths who have lived exemplary lives
through this tough phase you find overwhelming, and this
individuals are still doing exceptional many years after they
transitioned to the marital phase of their youthfulness. It is not
too late to start living a life of purpose. It is not too late to turn
to God for help because no matter how hard you try, you can't
walk through this phase successfully with your human strength.
You've got to be wholly dependent on God for strength in place
of your weakness and He will make you soar in no time
