Becket Cook had always wanted to be a writer and an actor, and after graduating from college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his lifelong dream. He also pursued relationships with men and embraced homosexuality, while not believing in God. However, unbeknownst to him, his mother was silently praying for his salvation. Recently, a letter his mother wrote to God pleading for him to be rescued and set free from homosexuality was discovered, and Becket revealed this on “The Becket Cook Show.” His mother had prayed for him on 13 separate occasions, including “a conversion of heart,” “a deep yearning for God,” and “protection against HIV and AIDS.” Becket said it was a complete miracle that he never got HIV, and that God had protected him because of his mother’s prayer. He wept remembering her and urged other parents and grandparents dealing with similar issues to do the same. He is now saved, and he recognizes the power of a mother’s prayer.
