Odumodublvck defends RCCG fund appeal, says he’d donate ₦1bn if able

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has expressed strong support for contributing to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, the artist stated that if he had the resources, he would gladly donate ₦1 billion to RCCG. He stressed that serving God should come from a willing heart, not by compulsion.

According to him, donations are essential for the church’s operations, noting that many members are not financially buoyant. He explained that such funds help cover vital expenses like fueling generators, funding evangelism, and assisting less privileged congregants who often turn to pastors for small financial aid after services.

“If I had a billion to give RCCG, I would do it and even more. Serving the Lord is not by force; nobody said you must donate ₦1 billion to enter heaven.

“As for me and my household, we will keep supporting the work of Christ without shame. No matter the criticism, you’re only fulfilling scripture. God bless you,” he wrote.

This comes after PUNCH Online reported that RCCG’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, had recently called on members to make substantial contributions — in the range of millions and billions of naira — to support ongoing church projects.
