President Trump bids ‘HAPPY EASTER!’ as Christian holiday approaches: ‘We need God’
On Palm Sunday, just one week before Easter, President Donald Trump shared a heartfelt message on Truth Social, proclaiming, “HAPPY EASTER!”
He wrote, “During this sacred Holy Week, Christians across the globe remember the Crucifixion of God’s Only Begotten Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And on Easter Sunday, we rejoice in His Glorious Resurrection, declaring with unwavering faith—as believers have for nearly 2,000 years—‘HE IS RISEN!’”
He continued, “Through the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, we witnessed the fullness of God’s immeasurable love for humanity. In His triumphant Resurrection, the course of history was forever changed, and the promise of everlasting life was revealed.”
“As Easter approaches, I extend my warmest wishes to Christians everywhere for a joyful and blessed celebration. America is a nation founded on faith. We need God, we seek God, and by His grace, we will become stronger, safer, more united, and more faithful than ever before. May His love and mercy guide us always. Thank you, and HAPPY EASTER!”
The White House also released a special “Presidential Message on Holy Week, 2025.”
It began: “This Holy Week, Melania and I join believers in prayer and reflection as we honor the Crucifixion and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—the living Son of God who conquered death, redeemed us from sin, and opened the gates of Heaven for all mankind.”
The message reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to defending the Christian faith, stating: “We renew our commitment to protect religious liberty in every sphere—our schools, our military, our workplaces, our hospitals, and our government. We will never cease to uphold the sanctity of life, to honor God’s truth, and to keep Him at the center of our public life.”
President Trump, who survived an assassination attempt last year, has publicly testified that he believes God spared his life for a greater purpose.
