RCCG graduates over 6,000 from Bible College as 73rd annual convention begins
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) began its 73rd Annual Convention on Monday with the graduation of 6,760 students from the Redeemed Christian Bible College (RCBC), underscoring the church’s continued commitment to developing leaders and advancing theological education.
RCBC, a key training institution within RCCG, awarded certificates, diplomas, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees to students who successfully completed various ministry and theological programs.
During the graduation ceremony, the Provost of RCBC, Pastor Alabi Oti, reaffirmed the college’s dedication to academic excellence and leadership training both within Nigeria and globally.
“We are grateful to God for enabling us to graduate 6,760 students in the 2024/2025 academic year. Despite global and national challenges, the Lord has blessed us with an abundant harvest,” he stated.
Pastor Oti expressed appreciation to the RCCG leadership, especially General Overseer Pastor E.A. Adeboye, for providing consistent guidance and ensuring a successful academic year.
He also highlighted RCBC’s strong academic affiliations with Redeemer’s University and the University of Ibadan. Of special note was the Diploma in Youth Ministry program, run in collaboration with Redeemer’s University, which is shaping future youth leaders—13 of whom, all youth provincial leaders, graduated this year.
Pastor Oti recommended that RCCG’s Youth and Young Adult Ministries consider making the Diploma in Youth Ministry mandatory for all youth pastors in the denomination.
In a message of encouragement and prayer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye blessed the graduates, urging them to rely on God as they step into ministry.
“The Almighty God who brought you this far will go with you. You are leaving not only with certificates but with divine anointing, support, and presence. You will not fail God, and you will not fail yourselves,” he declared.
The graduation ceremony also featured a sermon by Pastor Charles Achonwa of Doulous Ministries, titled ‘Every Knee Must Bow’. He emphasized that all creation exists for God’s glory and called on believers to honour God in every aspect of their lives and ministries.
This milestone event marks the official commencement of RCCG’s 2025 Convention, drawing thousands of worshippers from across Nigeria and around the world to Redemption City, Ogun State.
