After a ministration by Kingdom Impact Vision International (KIVI) during their visit to the correctional center, several inmates made a pledge to follow Christ. The KIVI team, led by Global Leader Pastor Junior Nwaubani, is an interdenominational Christian group focused on reforming inmates and providing for their spiritual and material needs.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the evangelical outreach included praise and worship, deliverance sessions, and material donations to the inmates. During his sermon, Nwaubani encouraged the inmates to stay strong in their faith in Jesus Christ, saying, “Today, you have accepted Christ and His good news. Stay steadfast in your faith. Meditate on the Bible daily, do your part, and let the Holy Spirit do His work in you.”
Benjamin Odagbon, KIVI’s Head of Prison Evangelism, commended the inmates for their decision to embrace Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and assured them that the group would continue to visit and offer support.
One of the inmates, Idowu Jayeoba, expressed his desire to be free so that he could serve God more fully
