‘Sex is good, enjoy It,’ Bishop Adejumo tells wives

Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, Co-Founder of Agape Christian Ministries, has urged African women to embrace their sexuality without shame, challenging cultural norms that often suppress open discussions about intimacy and women’s desires.

In a video shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Adejumo emphasized the importance of healthy and fulfilling marriages, encouraging women to break free from societal expectations and confidently communicate their needs to their partners.

She highlighted that mutual enjoyment and open communication are essential for a thriving relationship.

“I enjoy sex. If I didn’t, how would I have children? Many women pretend, but the truth is, they enjoy sex too. African culture has conditioned women to hide their pleasure, fearing they’ll be judged. But that belief is outdated,” she stated.

Adejumo stressed the need to discard traditional views that hinder marital intimacy.

“If your husband touches you and you’re happy, don’t suppress it. You must unlearn these harmful beliefs, or they will create problems in your marriage,” she added.

Encouraging wives to be more expressive during intimate moments, she advised them to let go of inhibitions and fully embrace physical connection.

“Sex is good. Desire your husband. And when you’re intimate, don’t just lie there—engage, express yourself. Talk, moan—sex is meant to be enjoyed,” she said.

She also warned against repressing desires, stating that such attitudes could harm relationships.

“We need to move past these outdated mindsets. The enemy is using them to destroy marriages because sexual intimacy is one of the deepest forms of connection.

“Touch your husband, tease him, and when he’s done, appreciate him—tell him he did a great job,” she concluded.
