Wale Oke and the new PFN Lagos Chairman urge unity among Christian organizations.

Bishop Wale Oke, the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), and Pastor Yemi Davids, the newly inaugurated Chairman of the Lagos Chapter of PFN, have emphasized the importance of reconciliation among aggrieved parties to foster unity within the organization. Pastor Davids, the Founding Pastor of Global Impact Ministries, revealed that reconciliation is a key priority in his leadership agenda. He stressed the need for unity to enhance the impact and relevance of PFN, not just in Lagos but across Nigeria.

At a press conference following his inauguration at the Covenant Nation in Iganmu, Lagos, Davids outlined his plans for the PFN’s new leadership. These include strengthening communication, launching community projects, addressing media narratives, and engaging non-active Pentecostal churches within the PFN. He also highlighted the upcoming Pastors’ Congress on October 21 at the Household of David as an opportunity for fellowship and renewing PFN’s vision.

Addressing concerns about preventing future succession crises, Davids emphasized the role of effective communication. He noted that poor communication often leads to chaos and that a collective, inclusive leadership ethos, where everyone plays their part, can help avoid conflicts. Pastor Godman Akinlabi, a member of the State Advisory Council (SAC), supported this view, stressing the importance of reconciliation and humility in maintaining unity within the PFN. He expressed optimism that these efforts will help overcome any existing or future crises within the fellowship.
